How to request deletion
Recommended (from the app)
- Open the Vecinos+ app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Request account deletion.
- Send the pre‑filled email to our support (it includes your user ID to help us identify the account).
Without the app
Email support@vecinos.plus with subject “Account deletion request (Vecinos+)”. Please include the email used in the app and, if possible, your user ID (UID).
We verify requests for security. If needed, we may ask you to confirm from the signed‑in email address or perform a quick re‑authentication.
What will be deleted
- Your account and profile (Firebase Auth account; profile details and profile photo).
- Content you created: garage sale listings and images; sport events; resident services; professional services; theft reports.
- Your chats: private chat rooms you participated in and their messages.
- Associated media stored in our storage for the above items.
What may be retained
- Minimal technical logs and system backups for security, fraud prevention, and service integrity.
- Aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably identify you.
- Data that we must keep to comply with applicable law or to resolve disputes.
Such retained data is limited and not used to provide the service once your account is deleted.
Retention period
Operational backups and technical logs are typically purged within 30–90 days. Where a longer retention is legally required, we keep only what is necessary for the required period.
Timeline
We acknowledge requests promptly and aim to complete deletions within 30 days, often sooner.
